I Wish I Had a Cordless Hedgetrimmer short puzzle game featuring an original puzzle system. Make each garden beautiful by trimming then watering all the hedges! Annoyingly, your hedgetrimmer's cord is dragging all over the place... try not to get tangled up in it!
As the sole developer for this game, I was responsible for:
Learning a new language and programming the game in it in just two weeks
Devising an original puzzle system that allowed for discovery
Planning a level sequence and creating six individual puzzles
Running playtests to gather player feedback and using that feedback to iterate on puzzles
Creating functional pixel art to convey game ideas under the restrictions of the Puzzlescript engine
The game was created from start to finish in less than two weeks as the final project for my puzzle design class. This was my first experience creating a puzzle video game and resulted in a massive growth in my understanding of puzzle design.
